  • The supermoon rises over the Arch in St. Louis as seen from the Compton Hill Water Tower on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2016. The supermoon will peak on early Monday morning shortly before sunrise, it will be the nearest supermoon in almost 70 years and will be the largest  until Nov. 25, 2034. A supermoon happens when a full moon makes its closest pass to Earth appearing up to 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter in the sky.   • Cub Scout Nick Kollar, 8, from Eureka, places flags in front of head stones at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Kollar was one of more than 5,000 local scouts who showed up to help place flags at the more than 139,000 head stones at the cemetery. This was the 61st annual Memorial Day {quote}Good Turn{quote} event that was sponsored by the Gravois Trail District of the Greater St. Louis Area Council, Boy Scouts of America.

  • A Robin comes back to the nest to feed it's brood in the Compton Heights neighborhood of St. Louis. The babies hatched over the weekend and the parents have been busy feeding the three chicks.
  • Friends Patrick Schertzer, left, Brett Ware, center, and Curtis Vitale take flying leaps into a man made lake at the New Town development in St. Charles County. Tempatures are expected to remain in the upper 80's and lower 90's for the through the weekend.

  • A graffiti artist from Kansas City works on putting the finishing touches on his work on the flood wall south of the Arch on Wharf Street in St. Louis. About 140 graffiti artist from around the country came to St. Louis to paint the flood wall.
  • Danny Wall, from Fenton, cruises down Interstate 70 West through downtown St. Louis on his way to deliver a present to a three-year-old boy in Granite City on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013.  {quote}I love seeing the expression of joy on people's faces as I drive by{quote} said Wall who started playing the role of Santa Claus eight years ago when his first grandchildren were born.  At first he visited just the homes of friends and family but he has visited with groups Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and children at Rankin Jordan. The event, Make A Splash, put on by the USA Swimming Foundation, is designed to raise awareness about the importance of learning to swim.  The program has helped provide more than 845,000 kids with swimming lessons.

  • Tuesday June 28, 2011--Malachi Lawrence, 3, plays in the bedroom in his and his mother's, Deidre Woodberry, apartment in north St. Louis County.  Woodberry participated in Contraceptive Choice Project trial soon after the birth of her son Malachi.   • Sunday January 31, 2010--Glowing globes fill the splash and spray water fountain area of Citygarden, a public sculpture park in downtown St. Louis, on Sunday.   The 25 globes are each lit by two LED lights and are programed to glow in an every changing a rainbow of hues.  The globes will be turned on every night through the end of February from 5pm-midnight.  The globes were installed by Hydro Dramatics, a St. Louis fountain design company.   • Terrance Bullock, of St. Louis, walks under the steam spouting from the lions head on the Bee Hat Lofts along N. 11th Street on Thursday.  Freezing temperatures with day time highs in the teens are expected to continue for the next three days.  The steam was added to the building as an ornamental detail when it was renovated into lofts from 2005-2006.
